An unexpected incident took place as Jennifer Aniston seemed to have overlooked identifying her colleague David Schwimmer in a new advertising spot for Super Bowl LVIII. The commercial, unveiled on Tuesday, depicts Aniston, among others, trying to remember that Uber Eats provides more than just food.

When Aniston retorts, “I detest this city,” and walks off while grumbling about erasing a decade from her life, the situation’s humor is heightened. Even though the ad humorously portrays Aniston’s character forgetting her on-screen relationship with Schwimmer, viewers nostalgically remember their memorable portrayals as Ross Geller and Rachel Green in the adored sitcom “Friends,” which aired between 1994 and 2004.

“Friends” chronicled the lives of six companions navigating work, romance, and the everyday occurrences in New York City, featuring Aniston, Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and the late Matthew Perry.
Despite Aniston’s comical forgetfulness in the ad, the reunion of these old friends is warmly embraced, particularly since their previous on-screen reunion during Max’s “Friends” special in 2021. (Max and CNN are under the same parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery.)
